Even as you stack on layers against the winter chill this month, it’s time to think about what’s underneath if you’re going to show it off this summer. That means training now to reach Optimal Swimsuit Level before summer.
Yes, really, says Atlanta fitness guru Christian Aguirre, who trains his clients at Urban Body Fitness in Midtown.
“Now is a good time to start, because it takes about 8-12 weeks to notice any changes in weight, health and appearance,” Aguirre tells Goliath.
When it comes to your backside, Aguirre says there’s more to great glutes than looking sexy from behind.
“Your glutes are one of the biggest and strongest muscles in your body, so by strengthening them you can improve your posture and make lifting heavy things easier, therefore reducing back pain,” he says. “Having strong glutes also helps with athletic performance so you run faster, jump higher and can lift more.”
